For me September was a big family and newborn month. For half of the month I spent time with retirees listening to their stories and taking their pictures and in between I had pleasure of meeting those in their first two weeks of life.
This little one smiled and slept and snuggled with both her parents. She was very content and I enjoyed watching the three of them interact.
Although I shoot in colour I am enjoying playing with black and white these days which is a little odd with the beautiful soft pink of newborn skin. I think I am all about simplicity right now; trying to connect with that moment when such a tiny being can bring such momentous change. Perhaps it is due to the fact that my littlest one is off to kindergarten and I move further and further away from babies myself.
