  • Wedding Season Cometh

I am a month away from wedding season and I am reminiscing on last summer’s great weddings.

I seem to have a lot of clients who come from the U.S.A. and this wedding in particular reminded me of what an amazing city I live in.  When I heard the guests speak of their experience in Vancouver I felt proud that these individuals saw a very open-minded and beautiful city.  I realize this is not always the case, but so many people stopped us to wish Alice and Michelle their congratulations.

Alice and Michelle were featured on The Green Bride Guide for even though they came from out of town, many elements of their wedding had a homespun air.  Alice made all the boutonnieres and corsages, and the decorations for the hotel room where their ceremony and reception were held.  The two of them took the ferry from Yaletown over to Granville Island and picked local flowers for Michelle’s bouquet.  They ordered their organic cake and cupcakes from Sweet Naturally Bakery.  It was a lovely wedding and I was honoured to be a part of it.

Alice and Michelle were married at The Opus Hotel in Yaletown.  Many of our photos were taken at the Roundhouse as it is such a beautiful backdrop.
