  • The Grassroots Wedding Fair

I had a friend come all the way from Ottawa to help me out for the wedding fair.  She helped me organize my lovely space for The Grassroots Wedding Fair.  Although studying cooperatives in school at present she was in design in a previous life.  I loved how she helped me pull all my elements together to create a modern, yet vintage vibe.

I was very excited to unveil my new giant sized new wedding logo framed in an old stained glass window that was in desperate need of a new purpose.  With antique accents my little ‘den’ was created.

Using only antique and frames created with the help of my dad from recycled wood I had many lovely images on display.  It was my darling friend’s idea to bring the antique writing desk (also reclaimed and restored after being a victim of fire) and it was a great centrepiece.

Many hours were spent making these little paper heart strings and larger ones hung in long strands in the entranceway to the hall.

I could not have pulled off the event without an amazing crew of incredible vollunteers which included not only my husband and all my family members, but also very dear friends.  Thanks everyone for working to help make this event happen.

My friends Ellen, Kelly (from Ottawa) and Caelen (from the Island). You are lifesavers!!!

My friends Grace (from eikcam) and Lesley who vollunteered much of their time.

My lovely cousin who gave up her Saturday for me to model.  Thanks babe!

My lovely cousin and her fantastic friends who spent the day all done up in wedding gowns modelling for us.
