I love it when I can capture expressions and motions in new little ones that the parents are already well aware of . It is incredible how quickly newborns evolve into wakeful beings capable of recognizable traits that make his or her parent’s heart grow.
I only see small windows into the lives of families, but sometimes, when I am able to photograph the belly and then return to meet the newly hatched baby, I too am excited watching the new life unfold.
As a parent myself I do not take for granted the opportunity to witness new life. I am honoured to be asked to look into this window, however brief and remember how life begins. Meeting such a small being holds such awe for me and reminds me to live in the moment.
